Xel-Tian was born in the year 70939881 (5,000,000 B.C.E) and became a fighter pilot one million years later. He had many succesful missions, mostly against the Juptonian Pirates. Is is because of Xel-Tian, in fact, that the Plutonian government became aware of Jupiters plans for war.

The Juptonian Pirates
The Juptonian Pirates were just that, pirates. They plagued all travel in the outer system, especially Plutonian cargo transports. A small faction of the Plutonian government accused the pirate group of being funded by the Juptonian ruling government. This was denied by the Juptonian government, and was not accepted by most Plutonians. It was believed by a larger number of Plutonians that the Juptonian government was selling ships and arms to the pirate group, but could not be proven.

The Pirate Attacks became steadily worse. It seemed clear by the year 71939871 (4,000,010 B.C.E) that the pirates were focusing on Plutonian transports. Around this time, the Juptonian fleet nearly tripled in size. The Juptonians claimed this was because they were preparing to defend from an alleged Neptunian attack. This attack never came, though the Juptonian fleet continued to grow. By the year 71939880 (4,000,001 B.C.E) the entire Plutonian Space Fleet was being used to protect transports and remove the pirates. While the transports were well defended, little was accomplished in eliminating the pirates.

In the year 71939881 (4,000,000 B.C.E) Xel Tian flew his first combat mission. He was assigned to protect a large convoy along with several other fighters. There was not sufficient protection in the event of a large pirate attack, but this was not expected. The convoy was attacked by a large group of pirates, the Plutonian convoy stood little chance. One of the frieghters and all but one of the fighters had been destroyed. Xel-Tian was at a loss for what to do. He requested a high yield explosive be spaced from one of the freighters. One of them was carrying such explosives, and spaced a number of them. Xel-Tian did not expect to do much damage against the battle cruiser that was attacking them, but he sent the explosives its way anyway. Little damage was done. With one explosive left, Xel-Tian caught sight of an exhaust port exposed on the battle cruiser, and sent the explosive into it. The battle cruiser was destroyed, and the remaining attack force spread.
